SAUGERTIES, New York, Aug. 14, 2015–Canada’s Ashley Holzer rode her friend PJ Rizvi’s Unlimited to victory in the World Cup Grand Prix Friday, the first CDI for the horse.
Ashley, who last month coached two of the four combinations on Canada’s Pan American Games silver medal team and based in New York, scored 68.960 per cent for the win on the 14-year-old Dutch Warmblood gelding owned by PJ Rizvi’s Peacock Ridge.
Canadian team mate Jacqueline Brooks on D Niro placed second on 68.460 per cent while Lauren Sammis of South Orange, New Jersey on Whitman was third on 66.380 per cent.
Unlimited was competed by PJ Rizvi at national Grand Prix in Florida last winter.
